VOILÀ NEW VOICES

In Québec, on-screen diversity in advertising has long been a topic of discussion. But what about audio diversity? Like you’d hear in radio ads? Advertisers can do better to reflect diversity and inclusivity in our society when it’s time to choose voices for brands. We still often associate specific domains, characteristics and subjects with certain types of voices. That’s why we always hear the same voices. To break this vicious circle, we created the Voilà New Voices project, a direct marketing initiative using a newsletter aimed at advertisers and creatives working in advertising to encourage them to question their beliefs and change their habits when it came to choosing voice talent.
